The Beauty of Upcycling on the Eastern Shore of Alabama
Upcycling items meant for the dump and transforming them into treasure is my passion. It’s one way I contribute to the environment. Here are a few of my favorite ideas from my own as well as blogs across the globe.
The Beauty of Upcycling on the Eastern Shore
This is a twin headboard and footboard purchased with lots of dings, chips and dirt buildup.
The footboard was cut in half, a seat was built and all assembled to create a bench. The perfect size for two!
I painted it with white paint treated with mildew-resistance in hopes that I protect it from the elements. We liveLiving in the south may require a coat of marine sealant, but that is a future project.

Add legs to an armoire hutch to create a different piece of furniture.
White painted furniture creates a classy look in any room.
Here’s one of my favorite finds published here on CoziNest. Take an old dresser mirror and hang it on a guest room wall. Perfect full length mirror and not so average.
Take any collection of bottles….
And turn them into your own creation.
