Happier Than a Slinky on an Escalator
Last year I found my dream boots. I wore them almost every day that I left the house and even joked with a friend of mine that I had cleaned house in my Fryes. I loved my wedge-heeled boots so much that I’d get all gussied up even if I had no where to go. When one of the heels started to come apart I returned them to the store thinking I could exchange them. (They were expensive and should have lasted more than a couple of months – even if I slept in them.) Nope. There were no more in my size. No harm no foul, I thought. I’d return them and then re-order. One year later I am still looking. Sold out! I should have kept them and had them repaired. When was the last time you found boots or shoes or a handbag that made you happier than a slinky on an escalator?
Today’s post just might take you there. Once again, I have the help of the professionals from CK Collection in Fairhope, AL. Fall is in the air and it’s time to get ready for leather boots, suede pumps and closed-toe shoes. Take a look at these boots “made for walking.”
Boots left to right. Cole Haan $448, Rag & Bone $525, Cole Haan $298
Heels : Stuart Weitzman $335, Butter, $315., Johnson & Murphy $225
According to Lisa White of CK Collection, kitten heels are coming back this season. The houndstooth Butter would be more popular than cable tv on football Saturday for all of you Alabama fans. And who doesn’t need a black pump? The vintage style Johnston & Murphy reminds me of the Victorian button and hook shoes only the buttons have been replaced with ribbon. These are on my wish list! I wear a size 8, Mr. Cozi.
Edgy Heels: Via Spiga $225, Rebecca Minkoff $220, Dolce Vita $108.
These are perfect shoes for fall – open to transition from the heat of summer to the cool of autumn.
Hand Bag: Zac Posen $495.
What handbag will you carry this season? This Zac Posen could make YOU as happy as a slinky on an escalator…
