The Style We Choose

style

Every day of the week and twice on Sundays, we ladies go to our closet and choose an outfit.

The style we choose

Sometimes we choose comfort for lounging and the other six days we choose a style that suits our unique personalities that is hopefully both comfortable and chic. Chico’s helps us achieve that 7 days a week. Take a look at each of these outfits and see if you see yourself in these styles.

Linda could choose this for lounging or dress it up for a party. A retro style jumpsuit that could go anywhere has a draped neckline and self-tie belt. We southern women rarely need a full length wool coat, so this red and black ruana adds just the right layer of warmth to a cool fall day. Chico’s has also expanded their shoe line and these zebra print platforms are now available.

Trish could go from day to night in this Viking Blue sequined top. For my southern midlife readers, might I suggest wearing this on cooler days or nights. 100% polyester is still an option for us as long as we don’t wear it when the humidity is also 100%.

This zebra print is a wrap dress that’s a perfect style for most shapes. It gives us some wiggle room while defining our waist. Why don’t we have one in every color, ladies? Barbara adds a bit of color with the red and gold multi-strand necklace.

As soon as Cindi walked on stage with this chic, safari-inspired vest, I knew I’d be making a trip to Chico’s. She needs no slimming to her shape, but for those of us who do, the long, faux leather trimmed vest will elongate and slenderize in all the right places. The lagniappe style necklace is also very flattering.

Judy is one of those lucky ladies who’s style has chosen her. It just comes natural, as she shows in this striped-lace jacket with a pair of Chico’s So Slimming Peyton Pants. Mixing the colors of ink and black is a great transitional combination as we move into fall.

Darlene Real-Higginbotham and her young guest model show off a few other choices for Fall. I particularly love the pleated-back top on the bottom right. Animal print on the front and pleats on the back. It’s great to leave a lasting impression when you leave a room.

Here, Dallas is sporting the Black Label Collection from Chico’s. Chico’s continues to embellish common t-shirts in ways that take them from an hour at the gym to a night out with the girls. A denim jacket is the perfect addition to a Fall wardrobe and if you prefer a jacket without studs, they have that, too. Their basic denim jacket is 80% cotton and sells for $99 at this date.

Light denim is one of those items that you can wear in the Spring or Fall. Raneta shows us here just how adorable she is with a pair of skinny jeans and boots. Simplicity rules with this outfit. The embellished neckline eliminates the need for jewelry, so she adds a bangle bracelet and earrings.

This kerchief style skirt is instinctive for Ellen. She always looks fabulous in a skirt and the surprise metallic blouse adds just the right amount of shimmer for her exquisite style. She said she would also wear this skirt with her cowboy boots – which would give the outfit a whole new look.

So, what would you choose for hump day that could possibly get you through the week to that much anticipated day of Saturday shopping? Want to meet me at Chico’s?
